The Torngat Joint Fisheries Board is a public body under the auspices of the Torngat Wildlife, Plants and Fisheries Secretariat. The Secretariat is the implementation agent of the Torngat Joint Fisheries Board and the Torngat Wildlife and Plants Co-Management Board.

Members of the Torngat Joint Fisheries Board shall meet whenever necessary for the transaction of business, board members may also be expected to spend additional time to review materials and prepare for meetings. The Board shall meet at least quarterly.
